Bridging the knowledge, convenience, and cost gap between everyday people and sustainable decisions.
Nothing is ever perfect, and every process can become more efficient.
One week ago, on June 2nd, 2017, President Trump withdrew the United States of America from the Paris climate agreement, on top of decreasing the role of the Environmental Protection Agency upon his Presidential election. Our goal is to ultimately, avoid bias on these topics as we see these events as an opportunity. With this topic in the spotlight, more people are hearing and talking about the climate change and diminishing supply of non renewable resources increasing prices and risk for everyday people. We are going to focus our efforts on digging deeper, into the efficiency of machinery and technology, the lifecycle assesments of products and processes, and information on innovations along the way. We will also research and inform
I strongly believe that everyday people want to make more sustainable and efficient decisions, not only to reduce their Carbon Footprint but to also reduce their costs; however, they either don’t know how to, or can’t afford to put in the extra time or money to do so. The purpose of this website is to bridge that knowledge, cost, and convenience gap to ultimately make it possible for every day people to make better decisions. We will be doing this by displaying examples and motivations that show being sustainable is about more efficient through facts and data- based examples.
Although we focus on sustainability, this page is ultimately about technology and innovation that improve the efficiency and therefore impact of said processes and products. We will conduct research on these topics where this website will include the findings and opinions of our research through articles, research, data, and insights on the topics of sustainability, innovation, and technology.
I am an Senior Economics Major and business minor student at the University of Oregon interested in Sustainability, Innovations, Socioeconomics, Business, Artificial intelligence, and Big Data. I will be using this blog to post things I read throughout my day to provide my insight on and connect things I think are relevant. As well as show research and analytics that I have conducted. Hopefully to provide insight and seem interesting to other people out there interested in similar topics as me.
